Norma Lee Wineland, 84, of Paragould, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born March 9, 1939, to James and Emma Thompson. Norma was always outside, and she loved fishing, mowing, working in her garden, and canning. She was very strong-willed, she loved her dog, Molly, and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 68 years, Johnnie Wineland; brothers, Harold Thompson, Jim Thompson; sister, Marcella Rogers; and daughter, Mary Jane Fears.

Survivors include her son, Joe Wineland (Jana); daughter, Sarah Murrell (Brian Rollings); sisters, Melba Garner (Neal), Reba Conyers; grandchildren, Hunter Wineland (Kayle), Emma Wineland (Sannan), Brett Wineland (Destiny), Madison Wineland (Justin), Barbara Fears (Brian), John Benjamin Fears (Loni), Bruce Murrell (Whitney), Jimmy Poe (Kalynn); and great-grandchildren, Addison Wineland, Natalie Wineland, Johnnie Wineland, Olivia Wineland, Ella Wineland, Avery Wineland, Alyssa Scotcher, Zach Scotcher, Maddie Scotcher, Jack Lewanowski, Briley Poe, Houston Poe, Kinsley Poe, Hunter Murrell, and Grason Murrell.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, from 10:30 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Don Slatton officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
