Olean B. Solomon, a cherished soul known affectionately as Olean, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on November 17, 1929, Olean's life was marked by her vibrant spirit and enduring kindness.

Olean's passion for life was evident in her love for golf, a sport she pursued with enthusiasm and joy. Her warm presence and love for socializing made her a beloved figure in her community. She found great solace and fellowship as a dedicated member of the First Church of God, where her faith and commitment to service shone brightly.

Professionally, Olean was a respected beautician in Oakdale, NY, where she spent 40 years bringing out the beauty in others. Her skilled hands and caring conversations left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Olean was preceded in death by her parents, Finis Conger and Beulah Smith Conger; first husband, John Bruno; sister, Betty Conger; and brothers, Doyle Conger, Gerald Conger, and Charles Conger.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Solomon; son, Steven Bruno (Kathy) of Delaware; daughter, Susan Bruno (Paul) of Delaware; sisters, Pat Cole (Russ), Carolyn Ray (Peter), and Cathy Hodge (Jim); granddaughters, Bethany (Tim) of Boston, MA, Erin (Kevin) of New York, NY, Alison of New York, NY; grandson, Christian (Lorena) of New York, NY; and great-grandchildren, Owen, Sylvie, and Esme.

A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be held on Thursday, May 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Hartsoe Cemetery with Gary Smith officiating.
