Opal Charlene Parmenter of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 – Born in the house of her parents, Owen and Irene Hutcheson, in Lunsford, Lake City. She was born prematurely with the doctor saying he wouldn't even give her a birth certificate unless she survived 3 days. Well, she survived 77 years.

The oldest of 6 children, she leaves behind 3 brothers, Harold, Timothy and Thomas, as well as 2 sisters, Delores and Donna. She's the mother of 3 children, the oldest Charlene Meshelle, Landis Wayne, Jr, and youngest Lisa Elizabeth, and 6 grandchildren, Cassie, Rebecca, Landis, Terry Wayne, Christal, and Aaron. She also has 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her current husband, Michael Parmenter.

Charlene was a strong, independent woman that enjoyed life on her terms. She will be missed by all that knew her.
