Paralee CopelandJune 16, 1930 - January 3, 2015 Paralee Copeland, 84, of St. Louis, MO passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. She was born June 16, 1930 at Leachville, AR to the late William Boyd and Lillie Allen Sharpe. Paralee was a member of First Baptist Church of St. John, MO. She was a proud supporter of St. Judes Children's Hospital. Paralee graduated as valedictorian from Oak Grove High School in 1948. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Howard A. Copeland; daughter, Linda Wallman; brothers, W.B. Shapre, Jr., Ralph A. Sharpe, and Clarence Sharpe.She is survived by her brother, Charles Sharpe; sisters, Jeanne Bishop, Beulah Cure, and JoAnn Sims; grandchildren, Patricia Munson, H. Shane Slaven, and Jeremy Slaven; and great grandchildren, Howard, II., Hannah, Steven, Samuel, and Wesley Slaven.The family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. until noon on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at noon on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Ben Cure officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.
