Peggie Beasley, age 78, passed away on September 27, 2025. She was born on July 12, 1947, Peggie's journey through life was marked by a passion for the simple pleasures.

Peggie enjoyed fishing. It was not just a pastime for her; it was a cherished ritual that provided solace and joy.

Peggie's love for cooking was equally constitutive of her character. She relished the act of preparing meals, which to her represented an expression of love and care toward her family and friends.

Her adventurous spirit often led Peggie to explore the various treasures hidden within flea markets. She spent countless hours in search of unique finds and hidden gems.

Above all, Peggie's heart belonged to her family. She was the cornerstone, the steadfast presence that her family could always turn to for support, laughter, and advice. Days spent in the company of her loved ones were Peggie's most cherished times.

Peggie was preceded in death by her parents, James and R.B. Hale; brothers, Calvin Hale, Tommy Hale; sisters, Rose hale, Mona Hale, Glenda Matheny; and nieces and nephews, Max Crockett, Morgan Crockett, Todd Janes, and Terry Janes.

Survivors include her sons, Chris Bateman (Jennifer), Bob Bateman (Tara); daughters, Jennifer Block, Jahmi Stevens, Lennsie Beasley; brothers, Cletius Hale (Connie), Max Hale, Lanney Hale; sisters, Reba Howe, Tabbie Crockett, Beatrice Bishop, Etta Janes (Jerry Don), Mary Flynn; grandchildren, Trevor Bateman, Karma Motes (Carson), Emma Bateman, Micheal Bateman, Sky Bateman, Lauryn Porter (Cory), Hannah Fisher, Bobbi Bateman, Braxton Rose, Riley Block, Laklee Block, Sophia Waddell, Peyten Stevens, Karter Beasley, Saybel Fisher, Lana Wright; and great-grandchildren, Barrett Motes and Benji Porter.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service for Peggie will be on Thursday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Charlie Cooper officiating.
