Peggy Kay Saffell, 69, of Paragould, passed away February 3, 2017.  She was born October 12, 1947, in Mounds, AR, to James and Eloise Beaton.  She retired from Darling after over 40 years of service.  Peggy loved her family and cherished her grandbabies.  She enjoyed quilting and participated in quilts for valor.  Peggy was a member of White Oak General Baptist Church and attended Lake Street Baptist Church.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Randal Beaton; and daughter, Tonya Wright.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Saffell;  sons and daughters in law, Darin and Kay Wright, Joey and Angie Wright, and Edward Saffell; daughters and son in law, Sherrie Thomason, and Brigetta and John Cummings; grandchildren, Rachil Wright, Josey Wright, Devin Letson, and Hailey Saffell.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 6, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Brother David Floyd officiating.  Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.

Neal Stallings, John Thacker, Earl Parrish, John Cummings, Wayne Crocker, and Michael Bryant will be pallbearers.  Dave Brown, Harold Bryant, and Phillip Keeling will serve as honorary pallbearers.
