Philemon Hurtis "Buddy" McCord, 86, of Paragould went to be with the Lord, Friday, December 4, 2015.  He was born November 10, 1929 in Paragould, AR to Philemon Hurtis and Gertrude McCord.  Buddy was a member of River of Life Church since 1956.  He worked in construction and for the Paragould Police Department.  He was a hardworking, wonderful, Christian man.  Buddy missed his wife, Bernice, and was ready to go to his Heavenly home to reunite with her.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Bernice, of 65 years; brothers, Homer and Earl McCord; sisters, Grace Mitchell, Ruth Waters, Maxine Leisure, Jimmy Dee Dollars, Bernice Benton, Maida Cox, and Pauline McCord; and grandson, Kurt.

Survivors include sons and daughters in law, Ricky and Ann McCord, John and Marla McCord all of Paragould; daughters and sons in law, Connie and Jim Wilcox of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Marcia and Cleve Baker, Shelley and Marty Harris, and Robin and Wayland Miller all of Paragould; grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Eric, Zachery, Aubree, Tracy, Greg, Corey, Kevin, Joseph, Joshua, C.J., Ellie, Ryan, Brandon, Sarah, and Kassi; and 30 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at River of Life Church, 1108 East Court St., Paragould.  The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at River of Life Church with Rev. Floyd Ryles officiating.  Burial will follow at Brown's Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Buddy's grandsons, Joshua, Greg, Corey, Ryan, Brandon, Jason, Justin, Eric, Kevin, Zachery, C.J., Joseph and Tanner.
