Phillip Wayne Morgan of Paragould passed peacefully into Heaven and the presence of
God on January 8, 2025.
He was born 72 years ago in Paragould to the late Kenneth and Mary (Benton) Morgan.
He was a 1970 graduate of Greene County Tech, and two days after graduation he went to work
for Emerson Motor Division in Paragould. He remained with the company after its sale to Nidec
Motors and retired as supervisor of the Die Shop after over 52 years of service. He and his wife
Juli were married in 1985 and celebrated their happy 39 th anniversary in October. Phillip was of
the Baptist faith.
Phillip was a fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the STL Cardinals. He enjoyed
crocheting and won several blue ribbons at the county fair for pieces he submitted made from
patterns he created himself. He also enjoyed fast cars, a pleasure in which he was able to indulge
later in life. After his retirement he thoroughly enjoyed his morning breakfasts with his band of
buddies at the Waffle and Pancake House.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Kay Crisp and Susan
Arnhart.
Phillip is survived by his beloved wife Juli; daughters, Kathy (Chris) Faulkner, Laurel
(Sean) Gearson, and Chelle Morgan; son, Chris (Christy) Morgan; grandchildren, Taylor Morgan
and Allie Morgan, Gunner (Erin) Faulkner, Hayden (Sheri) Faulkner, and Cade Faulkner,
Mackenzie Gearson and Peyton Gearson; and his great-granddaughter Iris Faulkner.
He is also survived by his little dogs that he loved so much, Penny, Bernadette, and Sadie.
A memorial service to celebrate Phillip's life will be held Sunday, January 19 th at Phillips
Funeral Home in Paragould with Eric Gentry officiating. The family will receive visitors from
2:00-3:00, and the service will begin at 3:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Phillip's memory to the
Northeast Arkansas Humane Society.
