Phyllis Caroline Whistle - February 17, 2013 Phyllis Caroline Whistle, 75 of Jonesboro, passed away February 17, 2013 at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice Center. She was born April 2, 1937 to the late Cyril Charles and Bessie Faye Cox. Phyllis was a private secretary to Supreme Court Justice Howard C. Ryan for ten years. She and her late husband, James Guyon opened their own accounting service in 1977. In 1990, she married her second husband, Noel Whistle. Together, they owned a gift shop in Branson, MO, worked at a Dude Ranch in Colorado, and worked for a stagecoach line in Cortez, CO. Mrs. Whistle enjoyed working and staying busy and was of the Church of Christ Faith. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James Guyon; second husband, Noel Whistle.The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Terry Joe Kee officiating. Burial will be in Pine Knot Cemetery.Serving as Pallbearers will be Clifford Lenderman, Roger Jones, Leland Newberry, and Drew Blankenship.
