Raleigh Garner, 77, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born May 7, 1944, in Stonewall, Arkansas, to the late Noah W. Garner and the late Edna (Copeland) Oglesby. Raleigh was a 1962 graduate of Lafe High School. He served in the Arkansas National Guard. Raleigh retired from Emerson Electric after 37 years. He was an avid fisherman that shared his love of Lake Norfork with his children and grandchildren.
Raleigh was preceded in death by his father, Noah W. Garner; step-father and mother, Ralph Sr. "Buck" and Edna Oglesby; brother, Charles Sims; brother-in-law, Wayne Rogers; and great-grandson, Owen Garner.
Survivors include his sons, Greg Garner of Paragould, Tracy (Amy) Garner of Rector; daughter, Gina (Lee) Wells of Paragould; grandchildren, Jonathan (Tara) Garner of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mitchell Garner of Paragould, Morgan Garner of Rector, and Lily Wells of Paragould; great-grandchildren, Lycan Garner, Gabriel Garner, and Isla Garner; siblings, Ann Rogers of Lettsworth, Louisiana, Barbara (Doug) Phillips of Paragould, Billy (Angie) Garner of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Ralph "Huck" (Susie) Oglesby, Jr. of Lafe.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 12, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The Celebration of Raleigh's Life will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial is private.
