IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Randy Gene
Hardin
June 5, 1957 – November 22, 2025
Randy Gene Hardin, 68, of Paragould, Arkansas, entered into eternal rest on November 22, 2025. Born June 5, 1957, to Harry Delmar Hardin and Ruby Louise Chamberlain, Randy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family.
On January 9, 1978, Randy married his beloved wife, Martha Sue Lax. Together they shared 47 wonderful years and 10 wonderful months, raising two daughters, Jennifer Sue (Michael Morris) of Brookland and Angela Dawn (Matthew Vincent) of Paragould. Randy was blessed with five grandchildren—Mason Lee Vincent, Benjamin Lee Morris, Tyler Gene Vincent, Brandon Michael Morris, and Ellee Dawn Vincent—who were the joy of his life.
Randy retired from Anchor Packaging and the Army National Guard, where he worked diligently and honorably throughout his career. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ricky Hardin, Jeffery Stallings, and Bobby Hardin. He is survived by his sister Brenda (Chester Cooley), his brother Michael (Tammy Hardin), and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Known affectionately as "Pops," Randy cherished every moment with his grandchildren. He proudly supported them in basketball, football, baseball, cheerleading, archery, trap, and band concerts, and he loved teaching his grandsons to hunt. His laughter, sense of humor, and unwavering presence will forever be remembered.
Randy enjoyed gardening, yard work, and cheering for the Razorbacks, Cardinals, and Chiefs. He loved westerns, The Price is Right and Married with Children. He was also a skilled card player, especially at High 5, a game he taught to his daughters and grandchildren.
Beyond his immediate family, Randy had a special place in his heart for the children cared for by Martha during her years as a babysitter. Paxton, Warren, Evelynn, Connor, Garrett, Casey, and Spencer were among the many who knew his kindness and generosity.
Above all, Randy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. His legacy is one of devotion, joy, and family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. Pops, your love, laughter, and pride will live on in every dream we chase. The greatest joy of your life was us, and your legacy will always guide us. Forever our Pops, forever our cheerleader, forever in our hearts.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, at Phillips Funeral Home with Rick Hathcoat and David Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery.
Warren Poff, Paul Adams, Kevin Lowe, Casey Owen, Terry Dillard, and Keith Cooley will serve as pallbearers. Mason, Tyler, and Ellee Vincent and Benjamin and Brandon Morris will serve as honorary pallbearers.
