Ray Allen Smith, 73, of Paragould, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019. He was born June 12, 1946, to Billy and Lillian Smith. Ray was an Army veteran and a Christian man. He was a faithful member of 7th & Mueller Church of Christ. Ray loved fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He had a wonderful personality and never met a stranger.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Janice Smith; son, Shawn Smith; and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Sandy Smith and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Larry McFadden officiating. Burial will follow at Morrow Cemetery.

Steve Bennett, Jack Hamilton, David Ritchey, Chad Davis, Jonathon Davis, and Jamey McFadden will serve as pallbearers.  Class 304 from the 7th & Mueller Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
