Richard Hughes, 74, of Paragould passed away Tuesday, October 06, 2015.  He was born May 16, 1941 in Monticello, IN to Ralph L. and Wanda Hughes.  Richard was of Baptist faith.  He was a U.S. Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton during the Vietnam War era.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and son, William A. Hughes.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Eleanor Hughes, of the home; son and daughter in law, Charles and Sharon Hughes of Jonesboro; daughter, Kim Hughes of Paragould; grandchildren, Jessica Hughes, Cassey Shannon, and Stephanie Hughes.

The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Phillips Funeral Home.  A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bobby Wade officiating.
