Rick Valentine, 61, of Paragould passed away Monday March 24, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 3, 1952 to Chalma and Reba Valentine. Rick enjoyed camping, Nascar and was a NRA member. He was also an employee of Emerson Electric for 32 years.Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Chalma and Reba (Gist) Valentine, and his grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Valentine; a son and daughter in law, Jay and Heather Valentine; a daughter and son in law Lori and Patrick Hulett; a brother and sister in law Jess and Carrie Valentine; two sisters, Janet (Lonnie) Wilhite and Susan (Bruce Lyall) Valentine; three grandchildren Rickey Harrison, T.J. Myatt, and Sophia Valentine; mother in law, Sue Lands; a brother in law and sister in law, Larry and Vicki Griggs; sister in law and brother in law, Teresa and Scotty Rogers; a brother in law, Roger Griggs; Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends Friday March 28, 2014 from 6 - 9 P.M. at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 2 P.M. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Wilburn Griggs officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Knot Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Joe Cox, Dennis Cox, Richard Cox, Cody Martin, Monte Gist and Gary Ivey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Griggs, Charlie Martin, Joe Dehart and Gary Warner. All Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
