Robert "Bob" Griffin Hays passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born April 7, 1939, to Glennis and Betty Hays in Paragould, AR. Bob always enjoyed driving around town to see what was going on. He organized the youth Legion Baseball Team every summer. The Legion Baseball Team went to Regionals in 2023 making Bob so proud. As a sports fan, he enjoyed watching all Razorback teams.  Bob was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He would always let his grandsons target practice in his back yard.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Hays; sons, Robert Long, Gary Long, and Mike Long; granddaughter, Jennifer Ward; and brother, Dick Hays.

Bob is survived by his daughter; Susan Gramling; grandchildren; Jamie Moss- Rickey, Nikki Houston, Jeremy Long, Trevor Gramling, Chelsea Long-Lehman, Ben Gramling, and Michael Robert Long; several great grandchildren; and nephew, Dicky Bob Hays.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home on Friday, January 19.
