Robert Edward Dowler, 86, of Marmaduke, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at his residence.  He was born November 25, 1934, in Lafe, to Bert and Ruth Dowler.  Robert was a lifetime meat manager and served as Mayor of Marmaduke for 2 terms.  Working, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren were among his many interests.  Robert was a devoted, loving dad and grandpa.  Above all, he was a man of God.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cora Dowler; 4 sisters; and 6 brothers.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Gary Austin, Kay and Greg Phillips, Angie Spencer, and Becky Chambers; brothers, Harold Dowler and Larry Dowler; sister, Cheryl Jones; 7 grandchildren, Melody, Jason, Blake, Ashley, Kelsey, and Braden; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Khloe, and Karsyn.

The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until service time Monday, July 19, at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with David White officiating.  Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.
