Robert "Bob" H. George, 73, of Paragould, returned to his heavenly home on March 30, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Bob was born on April 5, 1942 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He retired from General Motors in Flint, Michigan in 1994 and then relocated to Paragould, Arkansas where he spent his retirement enjoying hunting, fishing, and helping his community. He was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church where he was a dedicated servant.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Patricia George; mother, Aldine Bellini; brother, William George.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy George;  daughters and sons in law, Silissa George and Mike Ingram, of Burton, Michigan, Sherry and Bill Heimsness, of Ardmore, Tennessee, Shannon Collings, of Auburn, Kentucky, Tonya and Ken Paine, of Auburn, Kentucky; step children, Annette Faber, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Matthew and Jeri Faber, of  St. James, Missouri, Michael and Stephanie Faber, of Paragould, Arkansas, and Alex and Lauren Faber of York, Pennsylvania; 16 grandchildren, Jose Garza, Robert Nicley, Austin Payne, Kelsey Collings, Alison Heimsness, Tyler  McDonald, Cheyenne McDonald, Bradley McDonald, Logan Faber, Savannah Faber, Trent Starr, Madison Starr, Arianna Faber, Isabel Faber, Evan Faber, and Olivia Faber.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 1, 2016, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Stottlemyre and Pastor Larry Ring officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
