Roy Lee Haneline, a cherished soul known for his kindheartedness and love for the great outdoors, passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on May 31, 1955, in the quaint town of Lafe, Arkansas, Roy's life was a testament to the values of hard work, family, and the simple joys of nature.
Roy had an appreciation for the natural world, which was evident in his lifelong love for hunting and fishing. These activities were more than hobbies for Roy; they were a way of life that he eagerly shared with his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his love for the wilderness, Roy had a soft spot for animals of all kinds. He held a particular fondness for cows and chickens, which he raised with care and affection. Roy's nurturing spirit extended to the cultivation of fruit trees. He enjoyed tending to the trees, ensuring that each tree was given the attention it needed to thrive.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Bernice Haneline; brothers, Johnny and Teddy Haneline; sister, Linda Namauu; and nephew, Cody Haneline.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Michelle Haneline; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa and Dustin Grubb and Carrie White; brothers, Paul Haneline, Eddie Dowdy, and Tommy Dowdy; sister, Peggy Sabatino; grandchildren, Kyle Haneline, Jordan Grubb, Ralasha Farmer, and Devon Grubb; and great- grandchildren, Caden Thompson and Elliemae Thompson.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 7, at Providence Cemetery with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating.
