Ruby Doris Atkinson, 92, of Paragould, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011.She was born September 14, 1919 to Will and Fannie Freeman in Marmaduke, AR.Ruby was of Baptist Faith, she liked to sew, make dresses, and loved to bake and cook for her family. She loved talking about the bible.She is preceded in death by her husband, Julious; parents; one daughter, Shirley Russell and one infant daughter, Ruby Faye; four brothers, Calvin, Lonnie, Walter and Joe Bill Freeman; three sisters, Jewel, Clara and Annie.Survivors include six sons, Tommy Atkinson of Lake City, Julious Gene Atkinson of Long Beach, MS., Alexander (Chuck) Atkinson of Leachville, AR., Eddie Don Atkinson of Vancleave, MS., James Atkinson of Paris, TX and Jerry Atkinson of Biloxi, MS; two daughters, Doris June Atkinson and Judy Ann Howard both of Paragould; one sister, Bedie McWilliams of Manila, AR.; twenty-five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, October 16 at the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home.Services are at 10 am, Monday, October 17 at Funeral Home with Terry Watson officiating.Burial will follow at Manila Cemetery.
