Rudy Lee Sanford, 85 years, 11 months, died April 29, 2025.  He was born May 22, 1939 at Marmaduke Arkansas, the son of Rudy Elis Sanford and Mary Elizabeth Sanford.

Rudy was saved at a young age and was a member of New Home MBC.  In his later years, he attended faithfully the Marmaduke First Baptist Church until his health failed him.

He worked hard all of his life, resided many years at Sikeston Missouri before making his home in Marmaduke, and he was an OTR truck driver. He taught his wife to drive the rig also, and together they were a driving team for many years.

Besides his parents, Rudy is predeceased by his wife, Mary L. Sanford, and an infant son.

He leaves behind three brothers and two sisters:  Elmer Sanford of Jonesboro, Joe (Martha) Sanford of Mountain Home, Wesley Sanford of Paragould, Darlene Edwards of Villa Missouri, and Rheta Carroll of Marmaduke, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 17 from 10:30 a.m. until service time at Marmaduke First Baptist Church.  The memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating.  Burial will follow in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.
