Ruth Ann Prater, 79, of Paragould, passed away September 19, 2022.  She was born December 27, 1942, in Leachville, Arkansas, to W. Olan and Winnie Fay Wilson.  Ruth Ann was raised in the Leachville area.  She was a beautician at The Hair Loft, where she still worked two days a week until last year when her health declined.  Ruth Ann loved her clients and thought of the girls at The Hair Loft as her family.  She had a heart of gold and loved unconditionally.  Ruth Ann was spunky, sassy, and had an infectious smile.  She attended the Episcopal Church.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Prater; sister, Betty Jo Grimes; and brother, Don Wilson.

Survivors include her step-son, Neil Prater (Beverly); and step-daughters, Paula Johnston (Phil), Carla Prater, and Berla Strong (Tom); best friend and caregiver, Lisa Jackson.
