Sandy Ryan, 75, of Paragould, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 3, 2018.  She was born March 4, 1943, in Rockford, Illinois, to Henry and Merlette Lightcap.  Sandy retired from Frolic Footwear in Jonesboro, and then she went to work at Sunshine Manor as a CNA.  She was of Baptist faith and enjoyed helping others by volunteering in the Auxiliary at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of her children, Charles Adams; and second husband, Paul Ryan; five brothers; and son in law, Derrek Bishop.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Tammy and Gary Shankle, Candy and Garry Hughes, and Dee Dee and Brian Hall, all of Paragould; sister, Kathleen Busse, of Rockford, Illinois; and grandchildren, Ashley Vowell, Vanessa Cox Forbs, Brian Bishop, Jonathan Bishop, Tyler Cox, and Cameron Hughes.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 6, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Royce Boling officiating.  Burial will follow at Brown's Chapel Cemetery.

Brian Bishop, Jonathan Bishop, Cameron Hughes, Cody Oost, Allen Lenderman, and Eric Lenderman will serve as pallbearers.  Ashley Vowell and Vanessa Cox Forbs will serve as honorary pallbearers.
