Sarah Bernice McCord, 81, of Paragould went to her Heavenly home Saturday, April 4, 2015. She was born August 23, 1933 at Mounds, AR to John and Cora Bell Shelley. Bernice was a longtime member of the River of Life Church. She was a beautiful, sweet, loving woman who loved the Lord and who was loved by everyone she met. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. Bernice loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one grandson, Kurt Bennett; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Hurtis McCord of the home; sons and daughters in law, Rick and Ann McCord and John and Marla McCord all of Paragould; daughters and sons in law, Connie and Jim Wilcox of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Marcia and Cleve Baker of Paragould, Shelley and Marty Harris of Paragould; Robin and Wayland Miller of Paragould; sister, Eva Bell Hayes; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at River of Life Church, 1108 East Court Street. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at River of Life Church with Pastor Floyd Ryles and Brother Keith Duclos officiating. Burial will follow at Browns Chapel Cemetery.
Bernice's grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.  Pallbearers include Greg, Corey, Ryan, Brandon, Jason, Justin, Eric, Zachery, Kevin, Joshua, and Joseph.
