Scottie Joe "Scooter" Phillips, 59, of Paragould, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born September24, 1962, to Clyde and Pauline Phillips. Scottie loved to watch SpongeBob cartoons and Lord of The Rings. He collected tools, loved rock & roll music, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Scottie's wife, Carmela, was his other half.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters in law, Sherri Ann Tate, Sherrie Phillips; and grandchildren, Preston Phillips and Abigail Farmer.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Carmela Phillips; sons, Steven Phillips, Jason Phillips (Jacalyn), Rusty Phillips (Sally), Colby Phillips; daughters, Brittany Phillips, Emilee Phillips (Hunter Fortner), Candace Phillips (Dale Williams); brother, James Phillips; sister, Sarah Grooms (Robert); several grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 29, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 30, at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.

Hunter Fortner, Brandon Pennie, James Phillips, Rusty Phillips, Jason Phillips, and Dale Williams will serve as pallbearers. Robert Grooms will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
