Sharon Kay Howard, born on July 10, 1948, passed away on May 13, 2026. She devoted 40 years of her life to Emerson Electric, retiring with a career marked by unwavering commitment and integrity. Beyond her professional achievements, she was a longtime member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, where her faith and community involvement were sources of great pride and fulfillment.

Known as a true people lover, Sharon’s heart was as vibrant as the flowers she so lovingly tended. Her passion for nurturing her garden was emblematic of the care she extended to her family, friends, and community alike.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Howard; her son, Jimmy Howard of Paragould; son-in-law, David Stallings; grandchildren Emily Pigue, Gracie Stallings, and Colton Sandusky; and great-grandchildren Victoria Pigue and Clayton Pigue. Their lives are forever enriched by the strength and kindness she exemplified.

Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Eula Howe; her daughter, Penny Stallings; as well as her four brothers and three sisters.

A visitation will be held on May 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home, followed immediately by the funeral service at 2:00 PM at the same location with David Stallings officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery.

Wayne LaRoe, Kelvin Howard, Franklin Williams, Marty Williams, Kenny Howard, and David Jackson will serve as pallbearers.

Scott Downs, Colton Sandusky, Steve Stewart, Roy Drafton, Dewayne Hart, and Melvin Howard will serve as honorary pallbearers.
