Shirley Jean Crossland, a vibrant soul known for her boundless kindness and infectious humor, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on June 14, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee, Shirley brought laughter and joy to all who were privileged to know her.

Shirley's zest for life was matched only by her kindness. She was the type of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone, and she truly never met a stranger. Her warm, inviting personality made her a cherished friend to many. Her sense of humor was legendary among her friends and family. Shirley loved to joke around. Her enthusiasm for life extended to her love of shopping and exploring flea markets. Shirley saw these outings as more than just a pastime; they were an opportunity to connect with people, share stories, and spread happiness.  She also found joy in fishing.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; Leeroy Frank and Frances Fought, and brother, William Fought.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, William Crossland; son, Brian Crossland; daughters, Tammy Adams, April Malone, and Jennifer Crossland; brother, Eddie Fought; sister, Barbara Cullum; grandchildren, Caleb, Tyler, Alex, Andrew, and Adilyn; and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, at Linwood Cemetery.
