Stanley Albert Dobbs, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on January 22, 1939, in Martinez, California.

Stanley lived a life shaped by hard work, devotion, and deep connection to those he loved. He served his country for eight years in the United States Navy, working as a Boiler Man on two different ships during the Vietnam War. His years of military service reflected the steady commitment and strength that would remain evident throughout his life.

For nearly 30 years, Stanley and his parents owned a successful livestock farm in Missouri. Farming was an important part of his life, and the years spent building and tending that work spoke to his perseverance and dedication. His nephew Greg Troxel spent a great deal of time on the farm helping Stanley, and that shared time became a meaningful part of their family bond. After selling the livestock farm, Stanley and Martha made their home in Paragould.

In retirement, Stanley found joy in traveling with his wife, Martha. Together they visited many different states across the United States. They also traveled abroad to several countries in Europe and to parts of the Middle East, creating memories through the places they explored side by side. He was also a member of Center Hill Church of Christ.

Among the traditions Stanley especially cherished was attending the FFA Sale with his nephew Greg on the first weekend of January each year. It was an event the two of them eagerly anticipated, and it remained one of the simple but lasting pleasures of his later years.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Martha Dobbs, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. He is also survived by his nephews, Kurt Rhoads, Matt Troxel, and Greg Troxel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Albert and Effie Dobbs; his sister, Naomi Dobbs; and his step-son, Paul Eugene Wilson.

Stanley will be remembered for his years of service, his strong work ethic, his love of family, and the enjoyment he found in both travel and treasured traditions. His life leaves behind a legacy of commitment, loyalty, and enduring family ties.
