Stella Louise Smith, 80, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023, at her residence.  Stella was born November 18, 1942, in Caraway, Arkansas, to Walter and Catherine Wallace.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy Lee Wallace and Chester William Wallace; and son-in-law, Rick Hendrix.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Allen Leathon Smith; daughters, Teresa Hendrix, Alessia Gladish (Rodney), Pamela Tritch ( Darryl), Tamela Foresythe (Joe), Sandra Priest (Alex), and Veronica Blackburn (Greg); half-brother, Bobby Ciscell; nephew, Louie Wallace (Renee); 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 6, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7, at Phillips Funeral Home with Dennis Strope officiating.  Burial will follow at Finch Cemetery.

Stella's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
