Stephen F. Barnes, Sr., 76, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017. He was born May 19, 1941, to Elgin and Pauline Barnes. Stephen was a huge Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing in his spare time.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Barnes, Jr.; son-in-law, Scott Grant; brothers, James Barnes, Maurice Barnes, Bob Barnes, and Alan Barnes; and sister, Janet Barnes.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Barnes; sons, Jeff Barnes and Tim Barnes; daughter, Shelia Grant; sister, Mary Ann Rotterman; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 30, 2017, from 1 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Tommy Pitcher officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Ridge Cemetery.
