IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephen Lynn
Crider
May 20, 1954 – July 28, 2025
Stephen Lynn Crider, a cherished soul known for his vibrant character and boundless love for his family, passed away on July 28, 2025, at his home in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on May 20, 1954, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to the late Lynn and Judith Crider, Stephen's life was one marked by devotion, humor, and an unwavering sense of adventure.
Stephen's journey through life was shared for 51 beautiful years with his beloved wife, Dorothy Crider. Together, they built a legacy of love and laughter that will forever resonate with those who knew them. He was a loving father to his children, Kenneth Jason Crider and his wife Heather, Christopher Lynn Crider and his wife Tammy, and Stephanie Snyder and her husband Kavin. His role as a father was one he cherished deeply, but it was in becoming a grandfather and great-grandfather that he found an even greater joy. His eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren were the light of his life, and he took every opportunity to enrich their lives with his unique spirit and wisdom.
Stephen's brother, Lynn Boyd Crider, Jr., remembers him not just as a sibling but as a companion through life's many twists and turns. While Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sherri Walder, and his brother Phillip Crider, the memories they shared continue to bring comfort and smiles to all who recall his stories and exploits.
Professionally, Stephen dedicated many years to the open road as a truck driver, a career that suited his love for travel and new experiences. His work was more than a job; he met lifelong friends, and found fulfillment in the simple pleasure of a journey well-traveled.
Stephen's interests were as diverse as his personality. He was a man who could light up a room with his presence and whose laughter was infectious. His loved ones never quite knew what he would say or do next, but they could always count on his actions being driven by love, mischief, and a genuine desire to make the most of every moment.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
