Stillman Riley Orick, age 81, of Oak Grove, left for his heavenly home on July 19, 2016 at AMMC in Paragould. He was born February 2, 1935 in Stanford, Arkansas to the late Roy and Lucille (Beauchamp)Orick. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon. After 33 years of service, Mr. Orick retired from Emerson Electric. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also had a talent for repairing things and creating beautiful wood working items.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and brother in law, Betty and Joe Garmroth; a best friend and special cousin, Marvin Clark; along with many other beloved family members.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth (Coleman) Orick; one son, Stanley Orick; one daughter and son in law, Vickie and Donnie Hopkins; one granddaughter, Amber Cook; two grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Hopkins; one great grandson, Korbyn Cook; one brother and sister in law, Jerry and Reda Orick; one nephew, Rodney Orick; six nieces, Linda Gray, Debra Williams, Pam Ridge, Dana Bradford, Kendra Orick and Jessica Frey.
The family will receive friends July 21, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The services to celebrate Mr. Orick's life will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Atwood and Rev. Chad Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Morrow Cemetery with Military Honors.
