Thomas W. Hagood, 87, of Paragould, passed away November 5, 2018, at his residence.  He was born January 5, 1931, in Paragould, to William and Verdie Hagood.  Thomas was an Army veteran.  He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals.  Thomas loved and cared for his family and grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buddy Hagood and Marion Hagood; and sisters, Fern Baker and Willa Congleton.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Effie Hagood of the home; sons, Tommy Hagood and Todd Hagood and his wife, Melonie, all of Paragould; daughter, Tina Garner of Paragould; brother, Dean Hagood; grandchildren, Eric Hagood, Brandon Boling, Shawn Dowdy, and Landen Hagood; great grandchildren, Bentley and Braylon Boling,, Cameron and Jackson Hagood, and Aubrey Wallace; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 7, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  A procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home for a graveside service at Linwood Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Eric Hagood officiating.
Landen Hagood, Eric Hagood, Todd Hagood, Tommy Hagood, Brandon Boling, Wilton Garcia, and Henry Laxton have the honor as serving as pallbearers.
