Tristan Joe Sims, age 11, was born to Jennifer Landers and Anthony Joe Sims on June 16, 2011, in Paragould, Arkansas, and passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 24, 2022, in Paragould, Arkansas. Tristan was a loving, older brother to his siblings, and known to everyone as being kind, smart, goofy, playful, and quick-witted. Tristan enjoyed playing Minecraft and Fortnite with his family and friends while on the phone with them, especially with his cousin/best friend. He loved road trips, family outings, his Nintendo Switch, Marvel movies, Pokemon cards, anime (Naruto), and challenging everyone to a competitive game of Checkers. Tristan was special and loved by all who knew him.

Tristan is preceded in death by Donnie Joe Sims, his paternal grandfather. Those left to honor Tristan's life are his parents, Jennifer Landers, Anthony (Ashleigh) Sims; siblings, Carter and Noah Seaman, Olivia Oxford, and Samuel Lincoln Sims; grandparents, Paula Wolfe, Richard (DeeAnn) Wolfe, and Lisa (Brian) Cockrell; great-grandparents, Don and Guin Sims, Yvonne (Bob) Everett, and Becky Askew; great-great grandmother, Sudie Pruett; aunts and uncles, Ashley Sims, Amanda (Terry) Gearin, and Ryan (Maggie) Wolfe; and cousins, Madelynn Hoffpauir, Logan Gearin, and Lincoln Wolfe. His memory is also cherished by numerous great aunts and uncles and dozens of cousins and friends all over the U.S. He is so loved and deeply missed by all.

Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould, Arkansas, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 6-8pm. The funeral is scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022, at 1pm. Burial at Monette Memorial in Monette, Arkansas, will follow. Pallbearers for the services will be Don Sims, Richard Wolfe, Bobby Everett, Randy Sims, Ryan Wolfe, Braden Sims. Honorary pallbearers are Carter and Noah Seaman. A celebration of life will be held in Leesville, Louisiana, where he was raised, at a later date. The family encourages all who knew Tristan to attend his services, share stories, and celebrate his life. If you are able to attend the services, we encourage you to dress in color rather than black.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marfan Foundation.
