Wanda Sue Watson, 89, of Paragould, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. She was born December 11, 1934. Wanda enjoyed working in the garden and cooking. She passed down her joy for cooking along to several of her grandchildren. She loved taking care of Missouri Fox Trotter horses with her husband, and through that, she made many friends all over the US.

Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Grooms Cate; husband, J. W. Watson; son, David Watson, and sister, Barbara.

Survivors include her son, Tim Watson (Becky); daughter, Deborah Davis (Lee); grandchildren, Miranda Rippard (Darren), Dustin Beasley (Jennifer), Whit Beasley (Amber), Scarlett Davis, Samantha Watson, T. J. Watson, Shae Watson; and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 25, from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Winford Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Darren Rippard, Maguire Rippard, TJ Watson, Whit Beasley, Calis Beasley, and Dustin Beasley will serve as pallbearers.
