William Wade Walls was born on April 6, 1933, and went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2025, at the age of 91 after a battle with rapid onset dementia.

Bill, or "Poppy" as he was lovingly known by his family, was born in Senath, Missouri to Virgil and Oberah Walls. He met the love of his life, Letha Holsten Walls of Kennett, MO, while in high school. They married in 1951 and were inseparable all the way up to his passing. Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952 and served during the Korean war. He was honorably discharged in 1960. After his discharge from the Air Force, Bill began his career in insurance. He moved to Camden, Arkansas in 1971 where he worked for State Farm Insurance. Bill was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Camden. He retired from State Farm in 1993 and relocated to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Bill enjoyed spending his days of retirement playing golf and pool. Hurricane Katrina took Bill and Lee's home in 2005, and they relocated to Paragould, AR and joined Westview Baptist Church. Bill loved the Lord and was always willing to help someone in need. He always had a smile on his face and was always ready to tell anyone who would listen how it was the Lord who made him successful in the insurance business. He made sure he passed his love of the Lord onto his family.

Bill is survived by his wife Lee; their children, Nancee Malenfant and husband Mark, Alan Walls and wife Virginia; grandchildren, Chris Pigage(Tiffany), Craig Walls, Dr. Christina Burrow(Peter), and Ashley Brummett (Shawn), and six great grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 17, 2024, from 10:30-11:30 with service at 11:30 at Phillips Funeral Home, 4904 W. Kingshighway, Paragould, AR. Burial will immediately follow at Lulu Cemetery, Senath, MO.
