Winston Henry "Wimp" Wooldridge, 78, of Paragould went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2014. He was born November 1, 1935 near Blytheville, AR to the late Chester and Grace Wooldridge. Wimp served as an Elder for Union Central Church of Christ for many years. He was a life-long farmer who enjoyed serving his community. He served on the Greene County Landfill Commission. Faith, family, baseball, hunting, fishing, and being an animated storyteller were among his many passions.Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Harley and Hal Wooldridge; two sisters, Aileen Powell and Chestine Tribitt; and a granddaughter, Heather Dickinson. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Riggs Wooldridge of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Beverly Wooldridge, Tim and Lisa Wooldridge, Keith and Denise Wooldridge, and Allen and Michelle Wooldridge; three brothers, Cecil Wooldridge of Osceola, AR, Paul Wooldridge of West Memphis, AR, and Ben Wooldridge of Dixie, AR; ten grandchildren, Kerry Wooldridge, Jeremy Wooldridge, Shelley Brinkley, Tiffany Jackson, Brian Wooldridge, Kimberly Wooldridge, Mitchell and Gavin Juneau, Alex and Audrey Wooldridge; and three great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Phillips Funeral Home. The service will be Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Glen Riggs, Tim Wooldridge and Ron Trimm officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. The grandsons will be serving as Pallbearers and the nephews will be serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
