Billy T. Strickland, 88, of Lake City, Arkansas, passed away May 12, 2021, in Lake City, Arkansas. He was born May 10, 1933, to John and Ollie Strickland. He was a member of Elm Grove Missionary Baptist Church and pastored several churches in the Lake City area. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and taking care of his dog, Dot.
Survivors include his children, Cassie Goad (Gary) of Jonesboro, Sandra Harmon of Paragould, and Jimmy Strickland (Betty) of Lake City; grandchildren, Lynn Doty, Amy Davis (Darin), Chris Farmer (Nicole), Angela Stidham (Daniel), Michelle Strickland (Phillip), and Daniel Strickland (Amber); great grandchildren, Caleb Farmer(Hannah), Harper Jernigan, Maggie Farmer, Paisley Farmer, Olivea Jett (Marissa), Kailey Jett, Miles Young, Ava Mae Stidham, Gracie Doty, Matthew Fraser (Allie), Shelby Goad Hoke, Elizabeth Strickland, Avery Strickland, and Hayden Strickland; great-great grandchildren, Adalyn Oden and Presley Fraser; and a host of other family and friends.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Etta Strickland; parents, John and Ollie Strickland; one brother, Murtis; and two sisters, Dale and Daisy.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Prairie Cemetery in Lunsford, Arkansas.
