Brenda Kay Summers Davis

Brenda K. Summers Davis, 71, of Beech Grove, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 24, 2019.  She was born October 29, 1947, in Light, to Ira Leland and Sylvia Jewel Davis.  Brenda was a lifetime member of Light Baptist Church.  She worked as an LPN at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center for 40 years, an EMT, and as an EMT instructor.  Brenda’s passion was caring for others.  She enjoyed sharing her talents with others by creating different programs.  She was seen as a small town celebrity and loved serving her community.  Above all Brenda loved the Lord and her family.  Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. 

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Vernon and Judy Summers of Conway, Arkansas; daughter and son in law, Theresa and Timothy Eason of Paragould; brother, Leland Davis; sisters, Barbara Hill; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Thursday, March 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Tommy Stacey officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

The Greene County Rescue Squad and Law Enforcement will have the honor to serve as pallbearers.
