Obituary

Burton A. Ward, Jr., 91, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022. He was born November 14, 1931, to Burton and Mamie Ward. Jack was an Army Veteran who was an air traffic controller. He enjoyed being around computers and photography.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edith Ward; son, Don Ward; and sister, Ailene Ward.
Survivors include his son, David Ward (Georgia); daughters, Ann Jenkins (Richard), Alice Reed (Perry); sister, Sue Ward; grandchildren, Chris Jenkins, Tiffany Leeker, JuLana Harris, Dee Slavings, Robert Chambers, Heather Scudder, Allison Edwards, Scott Noble; fifteen great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 23, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. A procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home for a 2:00 p.m. graveside with military honors at Providence Cemetery with Dale Snyder officiating.
