Obituary

Charley "Chuck" Rogers, 75, of Lafe, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born March 9, 1948, to Harry and Anna Rogers.
Olgeba, Dad, Old Man, Pawpaw, Best Friend.
These are just a few of the many names Chuck has gone by.
He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and grew up in Tennessee. There he met Anne, his greatest love, sometimes the thorn in his side, and his best friend. Through 38 years of marriage they were there for each other for better or for worse, in plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in health. They raised a family, had so many adventures, and he left this world with her hand in his.
He was an amazing father. He loved his kids unconditionally. Even when tested, his love never failed. He always put his family first and would drop everything in a second for them.
An incredible grandfather, he never missed a sporting event, was always early for school pick up, and showed no favorites. He would follow the rules of luck and tradition and gift his pocket knives for a penny.
Chuck was a best friend to all. He was ready to go on a motorcycle ride any day of the week, never put a call on silent, and would do anything for anyone.
He loved to stay busy. Working on his bike, tinkering in his garage, going for rides with friends, or running errands; he never let illness or age get him down.
Even though Chuck lived 75 good, full years, it still feels too soon for him to have left us. He never met a stranger, was kind, generous, compassionate, thoughtful, loyal, and could remember a joke better than anyone.
Words cannot describe how much he meant to so many people. He was truly an incredible person. His passing is a huge loss and he will be missed terribly.
Love you Olge.
Miss you Dad.
Say hi to Roxie, Pawpaw.
Save a ride for me in heaven, best friend.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marie Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Anne Rogers; sons, Jeremy (Yesica) Rogers, Jason (Tiffany) Rogers; daughters, Rebekah (Matthew) Ring, Sarah (Chris) Trombley; stepdaughter, Angie Campbell; grandchildren, Noah Dachs, Caleb Dachs, Mason Rogers, Ariel Rogers, Joshua Gonzalez, Angie Gonzalez, Elaina Trombley, Kian Trombley, Wyatt Trombley; and several nieces, nephews, family members, and dear friends.
