David R. Rousseau, 69, of Jonesboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He was born July 24, 1951, to Richard and Lillian Rousseau. David was a Vietnam Veteran that served for the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed woodworking and was of Christian faith. David was a huge history and military buff. He was a great husband, father, PawPaw (Pepe), and was a great mentor.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Linda Rousseau; sons, Peter Rousseau of Kingston, PA, Manny Perez of Kingston, PA, Matthew Rousseau of Gloversville, NY, and Jason Higgins (Sarah) of Cardwell, MO; daughters, Krystal McLemore (Wayne), Beverly Whitehead (John Carr) all of Paragould; brother, Tom Rousseau; sister, Linda Beaudoin; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 9, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Scott Cheshire officiating. A procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home on Monday, May 10, at 10:30 a.m. to Missouri State Veteran Cemetery for burial.
Cody Carr, John Carr, Jaush Nesbit, Jason Higgins, Christian McLemore, and Nick Rousseau will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Caleb Rousseau and Chuck Walls.
