Mrs. Diana Jean Ray, 74, of Paragould, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at home with her loved ones close by. Diana was born in Paragould on July 16, 1948, to William and Loveda Taylor. She graduated from Paragould High School in 1966 and married Wyman Ray on June 10, 1966. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church for many years. Diana graduated in 1978, from LPN school at Delta Vo Tech and from there worked over 20 years at Arkansas Methodist Hospital. Later, she worked for the Greene County Health Department as a case manager for Home Health. After retiring, she did part-time aide work for Kendred. She was a caring and compassionate Nurse in her 44-year career. So many times, she took money from her own pocket to help acquire items that her elderly patients needed. She was loved and will be truly missed by her family and friends alike.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Wyman Ray; and grandparents, Buster and Zetha Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Michele (Gerald) Hale of Marmaduke; grandchildren, Nic (Whitley) Rippy of Marmaduke, Chelsea Kreutzer (William Crowe) of Paragould; and great-grandchildren, Braxton Kreutzer, Brooklen Kreutzer, Kennedie Rippy, Bellamee Rippy, Atticus Rippy, and Angela Crowe.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14,
from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Wayne Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Gerald Hale, Nic Rippy, Braxton Kreutzer, Kevin Ray, Bruce Loughary, and Jess Hale will serve as pallbearers. Michael Rippy will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
