Donald Ray Crowson, 75, of Paragould, passed from this life on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was born February 23, 1946, in Mary’s Chapel, Arkansas, the son of Vivian and Irene Crowson.
Don graduated from Greenway High School, Class of 1964. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After which, he married his wife of 53 years, Mary F. (Davison) Crowson. Don worked for 45 years as an installation tech in the communications industry. He had a lifelong love of hunting and fishing with his brothers. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Melba Jean Crowson, and brother, Robert Crowson.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Steve Crowson of Piggott; daughters, Tonia Hathcock and her husband Aaron of Jonesboro, Mandy Gay and her husband William of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Lauren (Devin) Higgins, Lauren Shaddock, Ashely Hathcock, Emily Gay; one great grandson, Asher Shaddock; two brothers, Charles Crowson of Batesville and Gary (Chatherine) Crowson of England, Arkansas.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 14, from noon until service time at Finch Baptist Church. The funeral service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Finch Baptist Church with Royce Boling and Marty Ezell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas.
