Donald Lee Keeling passed away peacefully on the 8th of November, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity. Born on October 5th, 1965, Donald lived a life full of adventure and close family connections.
Donald was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an outdoorsman at heart, with a passion for hunting and fishing that was as deep as the rivers he loved to explore. He had a keen eye for beauty, often venturing into the wilderness to collect arrowheads, each one a testament to his patience and determination. His love for nature extended to his farm, where he enjoyed working the land and reaping the fruits of his labor.
A generous soul, Donald was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, often leaving his friends and family in fits of laughter with his jokes. The lake was his favorite retreat, a place where he loved to spend time, whether it was for a peaceful moment of reflection or a lively gathering with his loved ones.
Family was at the heart of Donald's life. He was a beloved husband to Mary Grant and a devoted father to his sons, Hunter and Tracer Keeling. He was a cherished son to his mother, Nell Keeling, and a dear brother to James Poole (Cindy), David Keeling, Phillip Keeling (Genia), Pam Niboonkit, Patricia Hunt (Stan), and Paulette Forkum (Billy). Donald was a doting grandfather to his grandson, Layke Keeling. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Keeling, his siblings, Billy Joe Keeling and Peggy Grant, his nephew, James Joseph Keeling, and his brothers-in-law, Dewayne Grant and Don Niboonkit. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and their memories will continue to live on through him.
Donald's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and generosity, woven together by the shared moments and joyous occasions spent with family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 11, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Phillip Keeling and Rev. Stacy Prater officiating.
