Ed Cross

Ed Cross, 89, of Paragould, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023.  He was born May 18, 1933, in Delaplaine, to Edmond and Zelda Cross.  Ed was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on boats.  He enjoyed playing cards, poker, and was a talented pool player.  Above all, Ed was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time with his family.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Marie Cross; brother, Benjamin Cross; grandson, Jason Cross; and great-grandson, Emerson Hendrix.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Cross; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Brenda Cross; daughters and sons-in-law, Ronda Griffin, Debbie and Terry Huckabay, Beverly and Eldon Housdan; brothers, Jimmy (Janice) Cross and Jack Crabtree; sisters, Mary Hyman and Loree Cross; grandchildren, Jamie (Shannon), Jarod (Paula), Krista (John), Kerri (David), Chandra, Jesica (Keith), Kelli (Alex), Chase, Jackson (Brie), and Whitney (Neal) and; great-grandchildren, Jyna (Tim), Jordyn, Jadyn, Jaycob, Justin, Jasmine, Laura, Gracie, Kellen, Addy, Kreed, Elliot, Emmett, Asher, Avery, Jase, Chandler, Chaddy, Caleb, Callie, Dakota, Brody, Braylon,Jace G., Rylan, and Peyton; and great-great-grandchildren, Braxton, Ava, Emma, Kayden, Kyeson, and Korbyn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 3, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Keith Floyd officiating.  Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. 

Chase Griffin, Caleb Hambrick, Asher Box, Chandler Cole, Jackson Lewallen, and Jarod Allison will serve as pallbearers.
