Esau James McQuay, age 19 months, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023. Esau was born September 7, 2021, at UAMS in Little Rock, AR, to Brandon and Julia McQuay. Though his time with us was short, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around him. His memory lives on in his family and friends.
Esau had a contagious smile and was adored by everyone who met him. Esau loves music, watching TV, sunshine, and his family. Esau’s favorite music is from Story Bots and Little Baby Bum. Esau loved being with his brother and sisters. Esau was loved beyond measure, and his family will forever cherish the memories they share with him.
Esau is survived by his parents, Brandon and Julia; his siblings, Zoey, MoZeus, and Esther Rose McQuay; his grandparents, Melinda Swindle Becknell, and Jerry McQuay; and his uncles and aunts, Zachary and Paige McQuay, Taylor Rose, and Steven Aschenbrenner. Great grandparents: Ron and Reda McQuay, Dale and Judy Stuart, and numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Esau is preceded in death by great-grandparents: C.T. and Ruth Swindle, Barbara Jean, great-uncle Darrell Swindle, and great aunt: Faye Mayfield.
The family welcomes all to graveside services at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 3 pm. Flowers and donations are accepted in Esau’s honor.
Zachary McQuay, Dale Swindle, Ethan Barnes, and Skylar Jones will be honored to serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Bubba Sullivan and Seth Martin.
