Frank Edward Coffel, 72, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021. He was born June 6, 1948, in Marmaduke, to Louis and Etta Coffel. Edward retired after 30 years from the Arkansas Highway Department. He worked as a truck driver after his retirement for several years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he always thought of others before himself and put others first. Edward was a calm, quiet, loving, family man.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph and Leon Coffel; sisters, Virginia Clark, Verna Mae Bass, Dola Terry, and Doralene Evans.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dianna Coffel; sons Anthony Coffel, Michael Coffel (Sharon), Jason Coffel (Julie); sisters, Bonnie Clayton, Beatrice Reddick (Teddy), Gertie Bandy (Floyd), Vernetta Dickinson (James), Doris Coleman, and Deleta Evans; grandchildren, Dylan Coffel, Jessa Everett, Jordan Everett, Adam Coffel, Aspen Coffel, Alex Coffel, Noah Coffel, Taylor Coffel, Grant Coffel, Savannah Coffel, Alyssa Coffel, Nate Conway, and Brody Pickering; and great-grandchildren, Ivy and Rowan.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 15, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. A procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. for a graveside service at New Liberty Cemetery with Dennis Strope and Harold Warner officiating.
Edward’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
