Obituary

George Donald Watson, 82, of Paragould, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. He was born May 11, 1940, to Albert and Myrtle Watson. Don was an Air Force Veteran and worked until retiring at Monroe. He was an avid yard saler, he enjoyed buying and selling, camping, fishing, and loved to brag about his fish.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jackie Ryan; grandson, Anthony Letson; brothers, Harold Watson, Bobby Watson, and Billy Watson.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alfreda Watson; sons, Don (Semadawn) Watson, Randy Watson; daughter, Jeannie (Ted) Watson; sister, Jo Ann Watson (Tom) Harp; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 13, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday, April 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Billy Joe Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery. 
Jeff Watson, Chris Watson, David Danaho, Don Watson, Jeannie Watson, and Nathan Hargrove will serve as pallbearers.
