Gerie Dawson

Gerie Dawson, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023, at the age of 88. Born on September 26, 1934, to the late Elmer and Estie Dawson. Gerie lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, marked by her love for travel, music, and fun.

Gerie was a woman of many passions and interests. She had a deep love for travel, which allowed her to explore the world and experience different cultures. Her adventurous spirit was infectious, inspiring those around her to seek out their own adventures. Gerie was also a lover of music, a passion she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She believed that music was a universal language that could bring people together, regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs. Above all, Gerie loved to have fun. Her infectious laughter and joyous spirit were a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her.

Gerie is survived by her sons, Ronald Allen Langley (Anna) of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and Ricky Langley of Washington State; her daughters, Brenda Relaford (Dallas) of Nevada and Linda Olivera (Bob) of Washington State; her sister, Christine Haygood; seven grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her parents Elmer and Estie Dawson.

Gerie’s family will receive friends at Phillips Funeral Home on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. until service time. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Don Slatton officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
