Hazel Merline Rippy

Hazel Merline Rippy, 95, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. She was born December 5, 1925, to Claude and Rosalee McCormick. Merline enjoyed running around and going on vacations. Her favorite vacation was looking at the fall colors in the mountains. Her church was most important to her and she was a wonderful family woman that cherished her family.
Merline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy Rippy; son, Charles David Rippy; sisters, Inez Noser, Maxine Vern and brother, Dub McCormick.
Survivors include her children, Linda Strope (Jerry), Carl Edward Rippy, Curtis Rippy, and Curtis Lee Rippy (Rena); brother, C. J. McCormick (Wanda); twelve grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 22, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Church at Paragould. The funeral service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be on Friday, April 23, at 1:00 p.m. at The Church at Paragould with Chris Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Cardwell Cemetery.
Curtis Lee Rippy, Allen Stillwell, Jerry Friend, Jerry Kelly, Bill Cole, and Bill Shane will serve as pallbearers. Jerry Stope will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
